AccuTech Int moves to downtown’s Ford Building from Livonia

AccuTech International came to Detroit looking for opportunity this summer and is starting to find it. The 4-year-old technology firm moved to downtown’s Ford Building from Livonia and is focusing on growing its business outward from the region’s center.

“We thought there were some good opportunities in downtown and we decided to go after them,” says Aaron Howard, business development manager of AccuTech International.

AccuTech International helps other business choose the best technology for their operations. It also helps them streamline their software and other IT infrastructure to improve efficiency. The company has worked primarily with credit unions and businesses based in the medical industry.

AccuTech International has signed close to a dozen new clients over the last year. It expects to sign another 10-15 in 2011, primarily picking up new firms based in the city. The company has hired one person in 2010, rounding out its staff to a dozen people. It hopes to hire another 2-3 people over the next year.
